TO GIVE LIGHT....

Amen and AMEN, The beginnings of a church in Barrio La Cruz (The Cross Neighborhood). After the work done in the last post, the rain came and came and came. We almost thought to cancel the movie planned for Saturday night. Bro Sabas showed up and Carlos, both with a can do attitude. Carlos said “We have a tent Barry what’s the problem?” We strung wires across the street to our generator in our house to run the lights, projector and speakers. Then, drove around in the pouring rain to announce a free movie under the tent. 55 people showed up under the 20’x20’ tent. Water was 3 inches deep inside the tent, hot and mosquitoes everywhere. One of the last ones to enter was a drunk man who sleeps on our doorstep. After the movie both me and Bro Sabas preached. I think if he had not preached he would have popped. He is already well into the Bible Institute and needed to let some out. The next morning 34 returned for morning services. A total of 18 prayed for Christ to save them, even Bro Carlos’ little girl Cindy. Carlos could hardly contain himself. In the Morning service a slightly drunk man brought his 7 year old daughter to church. Many times during the service he would call loudly “Help me, Save me from this darkness!”. Bro Sabas would repeat keep coming and listening and we will. With your continues prayers and support, we will continue to freely give out the water of life. Thank You.

Gone Fishing….With a Bounce House NET

We worked most of the day getting a tent out of the roasting hot shipping container. After moving it several times, the boys (Barry Jr and his helper) decided to also bring out the small bounce house. In the afternoon, all of us began setting the tent up for new church services in the vacant lot next to our house for Sunday….The new church needs plastic chairs! Afterwards Barry Jr. offered to set up the bounce and show the kids what it was. I agreed to let ONE boy bounce to demonstrate it. It was like giving every kid one potato chip. It did not take him but a moment to figure it out and boy did he, back flips, summersaults, ect. The other kids ran and got friends and a few minutes later there was an almost uncontrollable crowd. Suddenly it was a good time for an announcement; the bounce house had done its job. We invited them all to a movie tomorrow night, and told them “Every kid who brings their parents to church services on Sunday will be allowed to jump after church”….It worked in the USA. It may work even better here. Kinda gives a good understanding of “Compel them to come in”.
5 More came forward in Prison Ministry Thursday, AMEN! At the end the Holy Spirit prompted a few questions. First, “How many men were married and the sole income provider before prison,” hands went up all over. Then asked “How many have wives or children who are not saved,” again hands went up all over. I asked for their addresses to find churches that would visit and help their families. Some men were crying and thanking us. The Holy Spirit showed that if we get the men’s families in church, the men are more likely to follow after prison and stay out of jail. Time will tell, one more thing on the plate.

Current Projects: Starting 2 churches, the construction of the Whensawe Distribution Center, Timotheos Bible Institutes, Prison preaching, Children’s Lighthouse Child Sponsorships for nutrition, medical and education needs (Sponsors needed). Evangelism outreaches…and whatever door the LORD opens unto us. Want to spend a vacation in Honduras? We can use the help, If you can’t come and help…Listen to the Holy Spirit and send once and again according to the necessity, Phil 4:16-17. If you can’t send anything…Pray continually for us and the work our wonderful Saviour has placed before us. Effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much A...AMEN!

Thank You.

Please Pray for Dayra

This is Bro Sabas' Daughter Dayra. Please read her profile and pray. Sabas has chosen to help us start a new church and is willing to live by faith to do so. His only burden is his daughters education. The older daughter quit school at the 6th grade in order to work, help the family and keep Dayra in a little longer. Their meager income is not enough to continue. Please pray about helping this budding pastor's daughter and family. Of all the men I have met here Sabas' has one of the most Christ like spirits about him.
Thank you for your prayer
Barry

Mathew 25:37-40 Working...

How do I describe this week. Too much to tell But Matthew 25:37-40 says it all.
5 preachers visited, and the LORD used them to provide and distribute 200 sets of clothes, $5,500 in Bibles, 4700lbs of rice and beans, lots of tracts, preached many places, gave away a generator and a wheelchair, saw souls saved…..worked almost every minute of every day. One day till 3 am, only to start again at 6am and still it was only a drop in a bucket.
The fence at the Whensawe center is rising. 3 Bible Institutes are running as of this week…2 of the 5 Institute dvd players bit the dust first time out.(Help) We got word Joran’s arm parts are at the University in El Salvador. Bro Sabas wants to preach tents services on the rented property for the beginnings of another church Amen!….ALL to the Glory of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Every Item listed above is a story in itself. More stories to write....

Thank You for your prayers
Please pray for a vehicle...This is the biggest hindrance to the work here
New church Plant and ability to purchase the Land to build and approval to start a feeding center
Help with the Whensawe Distribution center...Getting it secure is neccessary prior to use and a major financial drain.
Most of all….More Souls for our Masters Table...

Choluteca Prison..LORD, When saw we thee?

Someone has been praying for Souls in Honduras and our LORD has heard!
Barry was sent to prison this week….to preach. The Choluteca Prison has a really rough reputation. It is on almost every list for human rights violations on the internet. The riots they had a while back killed many and burned down the prison. Security guards allowed us in, to preach and even take pictures in the new prison still being built. Carlos was scared because he knows some people in there who robbed him. During visiting times the guards just let you in and lock the door behind you. They do not go with you. Services were much like a regular church service with about 70 in attendance, and the LORD gave a strong to the point salvation message. 12 came forward AMEN! Guards allowed me to distribute 300 Born of God books along with some disciple ship books we printed on the riso. Next week we will bring the NT that we have left. I am out of tracts almost out of NT and JR and can only get 6 Bibles per month. The container of scripture that flooded last week is greatly needed.
Bro. Cañada (can-yad-a) who asked us to preach in the prison, also asked me to preach Sunday in his church. He lost his son to cancer a couple of weeks ago and his wife is still struggling with it. He sees the LORD's hand in it because his son finally accepted the Lord as Saviour just a few months ago after getting sick. Anything this side of hell is a blessing. He still owed $100 dollars for the casket. After preaching on a text "seeing his brother in need" we asked him for the receipts and promised to cover his debt. This is equal to his entire months pay. Our Glorious LORD blessed again in the service with the saving of 5 more precious souls. AMEN!

PRAISES!
Prison preaching 12 salvations
Plus 5 in a church service
Bank Cards came in
Whensawe Fence columns almost complete. Still need about $3000 to finish.
We have NOT been robbed this week!
Sasha finished high school! Corinna is expecting her second Child.
Institute courses completed and the first school is starting. 2 churches in La Esperanza will share materials AMEN!
Lisa put together a 5 year course of S. School papers for 6-12yr olds

PRAYER REQUESTS
Souls-and discipleship
Support Level Children to get sponsors(we have more not even listed yet)
Both Church plants and special outreach events, Bible Institute, Whensawe Distribution Center-plus Feeding Center
All we do to be to the Glory of Christ Jesus
Pray for a vehicle.
I looked at a 1987 datsun pickup this week. It’s only rusted out on the bottom half and could be ours for only $3000…You laugh…but I was actually thinking- what a bargain, something we might afford, it just wont go where we need to go. The truck we keep borrowing now wont go everywhere either and currently uses a set of spark plugs every day. I am afraid it will let go completely, then we will be obligated to rebuild the engine….I would rather spend the money elsewhere
